About the Christoffel National Park
The Christoffel Mountain, Curacao’s highest peak, is nestled within the expansive Christoffel National Park. This protected area is home to diverse flora and fauna, including some species unique to the island. The park offers a glimpse into Curacao’s natural beauty and is an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike.
Hike to the top of the Christoffel mountain
Once you park your car at the designated area in Christoffel National Park, your hike to the summit begins. The trail is well-marked with arrows and dots painted on rocks and trees, ensuring you won’t lose your way. Depending on your fitness level and the number of breaks you take, the hike to the top takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. The trail starts off relatively flat but becomes steeper as you ascend. Near the top, you’ll need to use your hands and feet to navigate the steepest sections, but the climb is manageable for anyone in good physical condition.Book your unique stay next to blue bay beach

Keep in mind that you can only begin the climb before 10:00 AM. After this time, the entrance closes to new hikers due to the heat. The park opens as early as 6:00 AM, and we highly recommend starting your hike around this time. The early morning hours are cooler, and hiking during sunrise adds a magical touch to the experience.
